1854
Leon Molinos founds TBSO (Compagnie de Touage de la Basse Seine and de l’Oise), and an Imperial Decree signed by Napoleon III on 6 April 1854 establishes its constitution.
In the XIX th Century, TBSO’s activity is focused on the haulage of barges and boats in France, supplying the economic centers with goods (cereals, sugar, beet…), with power (coal) and with bulk materials (cement, sand, …).
In 1911 Andre Walewski (Mr Leon Molinos’s son-in-law) takes over the general management of the company.

SGTR makes first strategic change to the benefit of operational river barge rental and downsizes.

Creation and development of the modular constructions rental activity with a major opertor: Allomat.
1981
Start of the Company’s international development with the founding of Touax Corp in the USA, a 100% subsidiary of SGTR. The name "Touax" appears for the very first time.

1994
The company definitively adopts the name “TOUAX”.
1996
Acquisition and development of the Siko brand in Germany – Modular construction activity.
1997
Raphael and Fabrice Walewski (Alexandre's son) are appointed co-chairmen of TOUAX.
The Head Office moves away from its historical location at 5 quai Malaquais in Paris 6, and moves in at La Defense – Tour Arago.
1998
Creation and development of the modular constructions rental activity with a major opertor: Allomat.
1999
On 14 June 1999 the Touax SA stock exchange listing is transferred from the cash market to the second market of the Paris Bourse, reputed to be more dynamic.
2005
On 28 July: the company drops the limited status it held since 1898 to become a share-holdership company (SCA), and accelerates the financing of its development through the stock exchange.
2007
- Touax renews its brand guidelines and website
- Touax celebrates its centennial in the Stock Exchange
- Opening of The Touax Modular building factory in Mignieres (France)
- The new product is awarded the 2007 “Janus de l’industry” in France and the 2008 “Observeur du design”,
- Touax purchases Warex sro company and accelerates its developments in Eastern Europe
- Touax posts excellent 2007 results: +10% increase in turnover & +63% increase in net results
2008
- The Touax share lifts up from the Paris stock exchange C compartment to the B one
- Touax manages with success its capital increase to continue accelerating it’s growth and development.
2009
Touax announces excellent results in 2008: a turnover of 120 million euros.
Touax receives "the price of the European company" and becomes the exclusive partner of Roland Garros in modular buildings for 3 years.
